Compared with stainless steel pipes, it exhibits more stable corrosion resistance in special media such as degassed hydrofluoric acid and hot concentrated alkali solutions, making it the preferred pipe for transporting corrosive media in chemical processes and seawater desalination systems.
The alloy pipe maintains stable mechanical properties in a wide temperature range of -240°C to 480°C, and its excellent cold forming properties allow complex piping systems to be formed through secondary processing such as bending and flaring. Monel 400 Pipe's welded joints can maintain corrosion resistance comparable to that of the parent material without subsequent heat treatment. This feature makes it widely used in key areas such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) pipelines, ship cooling systems, and high-purity fluid transportation systems in the pharmaceutical industry.
